Tom Finlay
As you see, our tubby little white rabbit is in full command, but you'll never find him inside his hole! He's out
playing at parties and weddings all the time. Lucky boy! Why do his fingers never get cold? They're never off the
piano. And if he's not doing that, he's playing at some jazz festival somewhere in the world. He never lets you
down. I tell you, he'll get a band together for you anytime, any day for any occasion. He's been in the business
for forty years and there isn't a song he doesn't know. Not surprising he knows how to come up with the goods…….
playing and recording jazz as he does; after all he can just about do it falling asleep! 4 cracking CDs! What would
I do without you Tom? Tel: 0131 225 6505 or 478 7435 mob. 07734448148
Thanks Tom for approving my comments on the boys!
Paul Harrison - Piano
Phenomenal talent with a classical background. Is there a jazz award or piano
competition you haven’t won? You don’t believe me? Visit www.paul-harrison.net How he can be bothered
with me is a mystery! Heh! Paul we’re having fun getting those songs together for the Christmas songbooks! We know
we’re not finished yet. (Only takes an afternoon doesn’t it?) Shall we tell everyone it took ten million and three
thousand and a half hours. Phew! Press on I say! Crossing all those tees etc. Paul, I’m so grateful for your expertise
and your time. Visit Paul at Ryan’s Bar in Edinburgh every Saturday 1pm - great gig. Where else? Take a look at
his website.
Ross Milligan
Our little bear comes from Selkirk in our Scottish borders. What a talent! He and brother Dave (piano) are two
of the finest jazz musicians in the UK. How they hop about the country and juggle their lives is a mystery. Thanks
Ross, for making the hop up to Edinburgh.
Roy Percy
As you can see, our badger friend Roy is the largest and therefore most solid. Here you see him listening carefully
to the piano, making sure his double bass is in tune. He's very attached to it, never leaves it alone. After all,
you never know, someone might steal it! Thanks Roy! By the way, how about some more golf ?
Colin Steele
Colin's albums have won international acclaim. His latest CD "The Journey Home" won a big BBC award for
the best jazz CD in the UK. His band is celebrated for it's beautiful ensemble playing, featuring the finest of
British jazz musicians today. Standby for his next CD. See his website for more details. (Click here to visit Colin Steele's website: http://www.colinsteele.com/)
Stuart Brown
Watch out girls, this boy's a little honey! There's not too much of him but he sure goes a LONG way! He's a big
name too. Phenomenal playing! Stunning! What a shame Stuart, you are always Soooooo busy teaching, playing and
being over in Glasgow! Thanks Stu.
Dick Lee
What can I say? Is there an instrument Dick doesn't play? And what an improviser! Astonishing. But Dick is a huge
name in the jazz world of Edinburgh and plays regularly with his lovely Anne on flute and piano. Mostly known as
a composer of saxophone music his musical talent is huge. Visit Dick Lee on the web. Thanks Dick and not forgetting
your fantastic whistling recorder! (Click here to visit
Dick Lee's website: http://www.dicklee.org.uk/)
Bob Stewart
Bob, am I right in saying your drumming goes back to playing during your army days? Bob is a man, never without
a smile on his face. Even if he's driving down from the Outer Hebrides where he lives, he's just always out to
have a good time and that's how we like to keep him. That's a good beat to follow Bob.
Uncle Jack
Now, Jack and I get on like a house on fire.....er.....He's a man of few words! A man to be envied. Who else can
shut me up, shove me in a box and turn me off at the click of a switch! Seriously, anyone in the business can tell
this guy knows his stuff. No wonder he has done so much work for Ray Wilson (Ex Genesis & Stiltskin), Joe Callis
(Rezzillos & Human League) and Irvine Welsh (he did the talking book versions of Trainspotting and Acid House).
A mystery how he gets the goods out of me without cracking up! Heh Jack, my next song's for you..."One day
he'll see the sun".......
Jane Butters
What can I say? Here I am, the angel holding forth from on high, dishing out the much-needed goodies when required.
Tom tells me I shouldn't feel guilty spending money on him….. after all, he says, "You don't spend any money
on your clothes!" Thanks a lot, Tom…Over and Out! |
